MHG Pink In A Week

A lot of factors contribute to the darkening of underarms:

Wearing tight clothes and underwear.
Excessive sweating or rubbing
Irritation from chemicals found in deodorants and anti-perspirants
Hormonal changes (ex: during pregnancy)
Shaving, plucking
Dead skin buildup
Improper hygiene

Honestly, my underarms used to be problematic.  It all started when I used a brand of deo back in my high school days which made my underarms darker. In addition, was my bad habit of plucking and shaving carelessly.  I used to end up with cuts, which would eventually darken.  So yeah, aside from my huge, weird-looking keloid on my left shoulder, my ugly underarms is another reason why I don't wear sleeveless clothes.  I did try DIY underarm whitening too.  Yeah, those (unbranded or not FDA approved) peeling oils and creams being sold online?  I tried those too, and well, it failed.

Good thing I finally decided to avail laser underarm treatments.  I got scared at first, because I ended up with burnt skin (which I eventually realized to be just the hairs) but when I noticed that my hair grows back a lot slower, I decided to continue.  And I'm glad I did.  After 5-6 sessions, I would only have less than 5 (super) thin underarm hairs even if I don't undergo treatment for two months.  Less (or none at all) plucking and shaving made my underarm skin a lot lighter.  The ingrown hairs lessened too.  But I still have a problem with darken skin.

I tried using some underarm creams, but most of them made my skin dry.  I even had allergies.  So when we were introduced with this new product that was recently introduced in the market, I was a little skeptical. Since it was mostly made from natural ingredients, I finally decided to give it a try.

Stila High Shine Lip Color

Wondering what the goodie is that you get using the Sephora Bounce Back card from Muzik?

Take your card to Sephora and they will give you a Stila High Shine Lip Color. It’s a creamy formula that’s more like a gloss than your regular lipstick. The lipstick retails for $23 Canadian, so the fact that you get it for free is a pretty great deal.

Bean and Body – Review

BeanandBody

Coffee and I have been having a love affair for some time. It’s to be expected, I come from a long line of coffee addicts. My Grandmother used to call it her “medicine” and had a pot brewing all hours of the day.

Me, I was a cup-a-day kind of gal for years. Until recently. Nothing like a hectic schedule to make you crave/need a bit more than one cup of “oompf” a day! But that added oompf also means you’re also doubling (or tripling) your caffeine intake. Is that a bad thing? Maybe not. Especially if your extra cup or two comes from Bean and Body, the world’s healthiest coffee.
Bean and Body aim to turn America’s daily ritual into a healthy habit. Their mission? To show that coffee shouldn’t get a bad rap. I was happy to see they complied some really positive findings on the good things that coffee can do (besides that lovely buzz). Just a few; the American Institute for Cancer Research says thatcoffee may boost health to reduce your risk of cancer. The Journal of American Medicine finds that coffee lowers the risk of Parkinson’s. And the American Journal on Clinical Nutrition says that coffee contains more antioxidants than grape juice, blueberries, raspberries and oranges. Hooray coffee!
Of course, there are other ways to feel good too, and Bean and Body know that. That’s why each purchase supports their Protected Grounds Initiative, which helps to buy, protect and preserve the most threatened areas of the worlds’ rainforests, and the people and wildlife within them.
But how about the taste? With their 4 blends, they add to the already mighty bean a slew of additional good-for-you ingredients and have created not only healthy iced coffee drinks, but flavors to please every coffee fiend. We received each to try…
Coffee Rescue – This is a hearty, strong blend with sweet caramel, buttery undertones and a vanilla finish. It also packs one heck of a tasty wallop!
Coffee marTeani – Love coffee? Love tea? Can’t decide which one more? You don’t have to! This blends the delicate flavors of green tea with coffee, then adds chai spices of cardamon and clove and a touch of ginger. Spicy and absolutely delicious.
Coffee Anti-Ox – Coffee and fruit? Oh my yes! Super antioxidants acai, pomegranate and blueberry are added for a delicate coffee and berry treat.
Coffee Energy – Energy drinks are great in theory. The problem for me? They’re usually awful tasting. So not the case here! Three stimulants (coffee, smoked yerba mate and guarana) are combined for an all natural boost of energy. It’s powerful, and yummy!
